Support Services

At Cleveland Sight Center, we recognize the importance of a supportive community. We offer a variety of programs and services to promote independence, togetherness and joy. Learn more about financial assistance, support group services or recreation and socialization activities below or by calling 216-791-8118 or emailing info@clevelandsightcenter.org.

Case Management Services:

After registering to receive services at CSC, you will be provided a case manager. Our dedicated and licensed case managers are here to support individuals throughout all of the services received at CSC. They will make sure each individual has the resources, support and information needed to reach their goals, including connecting them with our financial assistance program as needed.

Share the Vision

Share the Vision is a peer-to-peer mentoring program designed to connect individuals who are new to vision loss with trained volunteers to discuss the anxieties and fears associated with losing vision. The volunteer is well-adapted to vision loss and provides one-on-one support to foster hope, encouragement and independence through monthly telephone calls.

Vision of Success (VOS)

VOS is a support group program conducted over the phone in small group settings to help individuals with visual impairments manage feelings of depression, anger, anxiety and stress.
The program gives individuals the opportunity to meet and communicate with people who are dealing with similar challenges.

Staying Connected

Staying Connected is designed for individuals who have completed the VOS program. The program provides additional opportunities to hear from speakers and receive ongoing support from peers sharing similar experiences.

Recreation and Socialization Services:

Recreation and socialization activities are designed to enhance overall well-being and build community with others. A variety of programs are offered throughout the year both at CSC and in the community and include:

  • Activities that encourage self-care and self-esteem like pottery, candle making, yoga, hiking and more.
  • Social activities where individuals have fun and engage with others through community field trips, trivia classes and more.
  • Health-related activities, where individuals can learn about topics like nutrition, stress, mental health and exercise.
