Low Vision Clinic

Practical Solutions to Maximize Remaining Vision

About Us

The Low Vision Clinic at Cleveland Sight Center performs low vision evaluations. The Low Vision Optometrists work directly with patients to determine which low vision aids and techniques will maximize their remaining vision. The Occupational Therapists on staff teach clients how to incorporate these aids and techniques into their daily routines to improve their quality of life. Opticians are also able to assist you with any of your glasses needs (outside prescriptions are accepted).
Most Low Vision Clinic patients are also under the care of an Ophthalmologist for the eye disease that caused the low vision. We receive referrals from over 130 ophthalmologists and optometrists in the greater Cleveland area for Low Vision Consultations. This ensures the patient receives comprehensive vision care.

Cleveland Sight Center's Vision Clinic accepts most forms of insurance. Low Vision Exams are billed through MEDICAL insurance and we take most private insurances as well as all Medicare and Medicaid plans. We take many private insurances including most Davis Vision and EyeMed plans, as well as all Medicaid plans including Caresource, Envolve, and Superior Vision. Please note, Medicare does not cover a routine exam and does not cover glasses.

Due to COVID-19 the Cleveland Sight Center (CSC) and our Low Vision Clinic has streamlined operations by creating new procedures following CDC guidelines. For your safety and wellness, virtual appointments are made to review all necessary forms, followed by telehealth appointments followed by shorter visits to the office with the doctors and occupational therapist which will allow you to receive all your medical and rehabilitation needs usually in one day.

Your health and safety are our number one priority. We look forward to providing you exceptional service.
