School Districts and Educators

Kids reading together in class.

Cleveland Sight Center (CSC) is available to provide guidance and resources to Northeast Ohio school districts on how to best identify and meet the needs of their students with a diagnosed or suspected visual impairment. CSC encourages district staff to refer the parent or guardian of these students to CSC to connect with a children and young adult case manager.

We recently asked two of our school-aged clients what advice they would give to teachers who have a blind or visually impaired student in their classroom. Check out this video to see what they said about some "dos" and "don'ts" teachers should keep in mind.
