CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA MUSIC STUDY GROUPS
Music Study Groups explore current concert music performed by The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall. The classes, designed for both new and experienced music lovers, meet at six convenient locations throughout Greater Cleveland and are led by Dr. Rose Breckenridge. Two locations offer special services for Cleveland Sight Center clients.
ONGOING REGISTRATION for the 2010-11 Season begins in AUGUST.
EASTSIDE: 24 Tuesdays • 10:00 am-11:30 am • Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library, 2345 Lee Road. Fall (09/21-11/16) • Winter (01/04-03/01) • Spring (03/29-5/24)
WESTSIDE: 16 Wednesdays • 1:15 pm-2:45 pm • Cuyahoga County Public Library Fairview Park Branch, 21255 Lorain Road. Fall (09/22-11/17) • Spring (03/30-05/25)
CONCERTS: The Cleveland Orchestra’s Alice Cull Fund provides a free Friday matinee concert ticket for each class member with vision loss, plus their volunteer sighted guide.
Friday matinee concerts to be held at Severance Hall in 2010-11 on October 22, January 7, January 21, February 18, May 6 and May 20.
SPECIAL SERVICES: Cleveland Sight Center supports special services for persons with vision loss who join the Music Study Groups, including curriculum materials and a reduced registration fee for Cleveland Sight Center clients and their drivers:
Full-series reduced registration fee • $60.00. Fall & Spring reduced registration fee • $50.00. (Regular fees are $80 for Fall & Spring and $100 for a Full-series.)
