BLIND & VISUALLY IMPAIRED RECREATION PROGRAMS
Blind & Vision Impaired Sailing
From late May through early October, Cleveland Sight Center clients who are blind or visually impaired set sail with a team of sighted mates and skippers out on the waters of Lake Erie. Our blind and visually impaired sailing program is available to clients of all ages and all levels of sailing and nautical experience.

Blind & Vision Impaired Golf
Blind Golf program is a great way to meet people, increase your mobility skills and get back in the game! Members play regularly on Northeast Ohio courses, east and west. Members travel to other states for tournaments where they can also enjoy a closing golfer and coach scramble. Golf is for the beginner with no experience up to scratch golfers with low handicaps.
Blind & Vision Impaired Rowing
Clients can participate in blind and vision impaired rowing activities, in partnership with volunteers from the Western Reserve Rowing Association. This can be a strenuous activity, so you will need to demonstrate that you are in good physical condition to be accepted into this program.
Blind & Vision Impaired Bowling
More than 30 people participate in our blind and vision impaired bowling programs. In 2002, one of our bowlers traveled to Europe and came home with 3 gold and 4 silver medals in an international blind bowler’s tournament.
Blind & Vision Impaired Tandem Biking
With the support of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, tandem biking and hiking has been a favorite midyear Cleveland Sight Center recreation activity for over twenty years.
