FROM DONALD'S HEART TO LITTLE HANDS

Donald Taylor, III, created a community project a few years ago that he named From Donald’s Heart to Little Hands. For the last three years he has donated new toys for the children in Cleveland Sight Center’s Bright Futures early intervention and preschool programs. Donald, his parents and his grandmother brought in stuffed animals along with large print, musical, and tactile books for each child. They also brought books for the Bright Futures library, all to support the agency’s efforts to promote literacy skills in our young clients.

Bright Futures students and staff greeted the Taylors with a song and a heart-shaped card with the children’s handprints on it to say thank you. Donald, who is eleven, is a sixth-grader at Dodge Intermediate School in Twinsburg. His mother is the principal at George Washington Carver Elementary School not far from the agency.
